Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum

Photobucket

Had a bit of fun today between jobs.
Just thought of something silly and (like Jack) ran with it.

Hmmm, could this turn into a fantasy themed 'endless runner'?
Giants destroying the world around you as you attempt to flee, Jack grabbing as much loot as he can?

I'll add it to the looooooooooong list of 'pocket money' game concepts.
Maybe with enough requests, you'll get to see it on the app store one day :)

DualShocking! - W.I.P.

Controls;
Rotation - Left Mouse Button and drag
Zoom - Mouse Wheel Roll

You'll need this - http://unity3d.com/webplayer/

I had a bit of time between projects, so I decided to play with this
'newfangled' Unity 3D web player malarky.
I dare say it's awfully fun.
Ladies and Gents, the Sony DualShock3 wireless controller.
Consider this an interactive WORK IN PROGRESS.
Built for realtime rendering at 5.5k tris (ish(web friendly, ya see))
and currently using Unity's basic specular/reflection shaders (that will all change when I learn to write my own)
Lots done, even more still to do.

Enjoy!

P.S. I want to show more realtime models and 'stuffs' in the future.
Any tips/links to good tutorials on shader creation etc would be very welcome!

P.P.S. I've noticed things seem to display differently in different web
browsers with different graphics cards. I'm using Google Chrome, nvidia card.
So if it looks really shiny and bright, that could the problem.
All part of the learning :)

SAS S10 gas mask warm up.

Been busy of late focusing on some very 'non-art' stuffs. So I thought it was high time I moved some polygons around.
This is a quicky zbrush bpr render.

Really enjoyed making this. I don't think I'm finished with head gear yet...
Chills X n
Yep, still going thorough the archives.
Grease Dance (360/PS3) the upgrade of Grease: the Game (Wii)
This is a fun game and a great project!
I was responsible for all the staging, environments, lighting, materials and a 'heap-ton' of other stuff in a tight nit team of great Devs - on both games.

If you love Grease, we really made this for you, you'll love this!

Meanwhile somewhere in the city..

Zumba Fitness Rush - 360 Kinect - Out Soon!

This is guaranteed to get you moving!
I worked on the pool party venue.

Go check it out!

Blast From the Past!

Now this takes me back to the good old days and my time at Black Rock Studio and Pure.
This was the in game player L.O.D. patch modelled so that it was easy to knock back the detail.
Created and rendered in Tomcat, Black Rock's proprietary tool set.
Lots of new challenges were thrown my way on this one.

and..
Best Racing Game of E3 2008 by the Game Critics Awards

Best Driving Game from GameTrailers.com
Best Racing Game on Xbox 360 from IGN

Buried Treasure
Wow. Well I was going through some ooold folders and found this.
ATV OFFROAD FURY 4 (PS2)
Again we patch modelled our vehicles so we could L.O.D. them down easier.
It also meant we could pump them up a bit too.

These all reduced down to PS2 level (I think the lowest lod was 500 tris)
Then when we signed the PSP version they were reduced even lower.

Oh yeah, this won best racer of E3 2006!
AND
it's little brother ATV OFFROAD FURY PRO (PSP) won best handheld racer E3 2006!

Fun times!
